Here! Have a movie review or two. (@ChefTheFilm , @TheLoftMovie , @Jon_Favreau , @JohnLeguizamo , #KarlUrban)

Last night, I went home with the intent of doing a read-through of Dance With the Devil.  Well, a read-through of what I have written, anyway.  Instead, I decided to curl up with my e-cigarette (four days in and still smoke free!!) and embrace my inner couch potato.  My daughter and I watched Finding Carter, and then, once she went to bed, I watched The Loft.

Oh………..my……………gawd…………….

My jaw is still sore from hitting the floor so many times.

On top of that, I watched Chef this past weekend, a Jon Favreau flick I have been SUPER-excited for.  Have any of you seen this movie?????  OMFG!!!  You haven’t?!?!?!  You NEED TO!!!!

Today I am going to talk a little bit about both.  There might be some gushing, so, please, feel free to bring your barf bags.  And don’t worry, both reviews are SPOILER-FREE.

Hey peeps!  I let you all know on Saturday’s blog post, but in case you missed it, I spent a good portion of my weekend writing (yay!!!).  However, yesterday I spent most of the day fighting a really bad headache.  Since I was stuck in bed, I decided to watch a few movies. Are we really surprised?

My review of Unseen can now be seen! <– See what I did there?

Good morning, minions!!! I thought I would share another one of my reviews from Pure Textuality. My homie Amber Lynn Natusch had another title come out on Tuesday (I know, right?!?!?! She’s a writing MACHINE!!) and I had the pleasure of reading the book before it hit ereaders. Unseen is the second book in a new series of her, a dark fantasy series, and a part of me feels like I have a brand on my forehead which reads TRAITOR because I think I actually like this series better than her Caged series. *GASP* As always, the review is spoiler free. Enjoy!

91WA8tVNRnL._SL1500_Welcome to the Kingdom of Hades, where even its prodigal princess sleeps lightly.

After fighting Soul Stealers in Detroit, Khara hoped to return home to find answers in her father’s realm. But the land of the dead offers little information, and far too much tragedy. Now cut off from her brothers, and left only with her dark and unreliable companion Oz, Khara must navigate the centuries-old webs of deceit and betrayal, all while eluding the Underworld’s most depraved inhabitant. But she soon finds an unexpected ally in her adopted sister Persephone. Together, they endeavor to right a terrible wrong. And as Khara soon discovers, there’s more riding on her success than she ever thought possible.

Want to know what I am up to???

AFTERNOON, MINIONS!!!!

I finally have a chance to breathe and wanted to stop in to give you all an update on how things are coming along, both with my writing and life in general.

As you know, Suffering and Speak of the Devil have both been unleashed upon the masses. Now I wait. Reviews are just starting to roll in, and I am happy to report they’ve all been pretty frikkin stellar. Speak of the Devil is getting a very warm reception and I am super-excited to have paperbacks in my hands soon (I ordered the proofs yesterday!!!!).

My one-month break from writing plain and simply didn’t happen. It’s not a bad thing, though! I started working on Dance With the Devil (Demon Legacy #3) before Christmas and shortly after New Years, I started on Bad Wolf.  What is Bad Wolf, you ask????  Keep reading to find out!

K.C. Stewart’s Hailey Holloway series is going to be so much fun to follow! #review #urbanfantasy #dragons #badassery

spark-ebook (1)Copywriter by day, nerd by night, Hailey Holloway is living the post college dream. Her life may not be flashy and exciting but it’s enough for her. After a late night at work, Hailey stumbles upon two dragons brawling in the middle of Philadelphia. In an act of kindness and lapse of sanity, she comforts the dragon who was left behind to die. In doing so she inadvertently invited the soul of Dacea into herself for safe keeping. Hailey just wants to live her life as simply and quietly as possible but with the voice of a disembodied dragon in her head, she has little hope of achieving her goal.

Dacea will do anything to be free of Hailey, a human who is moments from checking herself into a psychiatric ward. He is grateful to be alive, but at what cost to his sanity? The dragon world is in upheaval. Green is at war with Red, and he is of no use to anyone while stuck with Hailey.

The solution to their problem is not without its risks. But just how far will Hailey go to be free of the dragon?

I HAVE THE WORST BOOK HANGOVER EVER…and it’s all @SimoneNicoleBks ‘s fault!

Sharing another review of mine from Pure Textuality. If you’re friends with me on Facebook or have liked my fan page, you saw me raving about this like a lunatic when I finished reading it last night. Awesome frikkin book! Loved it!  AND it’s only $0.99 on Kindle right now.  🙂 – Jena

Ahead of the DarknessIt has been a long, long time since I’ve seen your little face, chérie. Not once did you visit. That really hurt; after all, it was thanks to you I was convicted. That’s not something you forget.

I thought it was time— a visit was due. Seeing as you wouldn’t come to me, I thought it only right I come to you. Sadly, you weren’t home, but your furry feline was more than accommodating . . .

I’ll be seeing you soon, mon chérie. I’ll always find you . . .

For six years, a letter has dictated Amelia’s future. She’s running from a past that refuses to stop, always trying to get one step ahead. Amelia is clever and resilient, and refuses to slip up.

Relying only on herself, she’ll be anything and anyone she needs to survive. But everyone slips up . . . eventually. You can’t always stay ahead of the darkness.
