Mother Nature Whipped Out Her Megabitch + Vanishing Update + Fantasy Reading Recs!

Hey there, humans! This summer here in New Hampshire has been bananas! Most days, it’s so hot and humid that you feel like you’re breathing through a wet washcloth. At some point, all that moisture going up must come down and the thunderstorms that have been ripping through our state have been NUTS. Last weekend, a storm hit us here on the mountain that lasted maybe a grand total of ten minutes. However, it came with 105mph (169kmh) winds and Mother Nature made one hell of a mess in that short time. It ended up knocking out power to most of our town and big chunks of the surrounding towns as well. When I finally emerged from the house, I couldn’t believe how many trees were ripped up and tossed around like matchsticks. Clean up isn’t quite done but they at least got the power back on.

NEWS! Vanishing is almost finished! Just in case you don’t remember, Vanishing will be the first in a new series of novellas called Hellfire Origins.

VANISHING, a novella in the Hellfire Origins series, part of the Hellfire world by urban fantasy romance author Jena Gregoire.

These novellas will tell you the origin story of specific characters but they won’t be necessary reads for the Hellfire world. The first novella tells the origin story of Jack, the weretiger you meet in The Devil You Know. I started writing his story on a whim during the pandemic and just never got around to finishing it but I’m hoping to get it out to you sometime this summer or early fall. I have twelve Hellfire Origins novellas planned starring Walker Coven witch Marisol Alamilla, Walker Coven vampire Kade Walker, Manhattan wolf pack alpha Marcel Cross, supernatural unknown (spoilers!) Ainsley Bates, witchy secret society Daughters of Eris, Brujani Coven vampire Gregor Malec, and more. Once the manuscript is finished, it will be fired off to my editor’s inbox and I will get a release date chosen. Stay tuned!
