Hibernation through winter should be a thing for humans.

It is so f@#$ing cold out right now. As I type this, we’re sitting at a whopping 3°F. That’s too f@#$ing cold. I get that there are places on this big blue rock that are much colder right now and those people have my deepest sympathies. We were having 50°F days a week ago. That was an evil tease on behalf of mother nature and as far as I’m concerned, she and I are not friends right now.

Okay, enough about the weather. What have you been reading??? I need some fantasy reading recommendations to beef up my TBR for 2026. I’m thinking of taking a deep dive into the monster romance genre but I haven’t got a clue where to start. Any suggestions??? Point me in the right direction. 📚📚📚

I wish Kindle Unlimited had some of the same features Goodreads has, specifically, the “shelving” option. I’ve seen a recent jump in Kindle Unlimited page reads of my books (I love your faces for that!). It would be cool if Kindle Unlimited gave us authors the ability to see how many readers currently had our books added to their KU library, like the shelf system over on Goodreads but right on Amazon.

I’m doing a beta read for Amber Lynn Natusch this week and I’m really excited about the book! If you follow my blog, you may have caught my audiobook review for her book Queen Me, a standalone set in Kel Carpenter’s Immortal Vices and Virtues shared world. The book I’m about to beta read is a spin-off of sorts, an enemies-to-lovers paranormal romance starring two of the side characters from Queen Me.

The Devil and the Deep is not actually set in Carpenter’s world so some of the details have been changed to make the world in this new book its own unique thing. Instead of a standalone novel, this book will be the first in a new series and I think it’s going to be good. The two starring characters are both witty in their own right so seeing them butt heads will be fun.
