‘Sup bitches? I’m spending my day creating, bouncing back and forth between working on Dance With the Devil and creating some new book covers. I’m hoping to have the rough draft completed in the next two weeks (*crossables crossed*). Sine both kids are out of the house today, that’s my main focus. 🙂
Speaking of Dance With the Devil, this book features a group of characters you haven’t met yet. They’re a band called Forsaken Angels. You’ve seen snippets featuring a dude named Silas. Well, Silas is the lead singer. When I release Dance With the Devil in July, I’m going to run a TeeSpring campaign for Forsaken Angels hoodies, the net proceeds of which will be donated to a charity of my choosing. I haven’t chosen the charity yet, but I promise it’ll be good. 🙂
OH!! And on the charity front, keep your peepers on the Bloggy Blog tomorrow morning because I’m revealing the cover to #AmWriting, A Collection of Letters to Benefit The Wayne Foundation. I’m super-excited about this project. The closer and closer we get to publishing day, the more I feel like we’re doing a good thing. It gives me a hardcore case of the warm fuzzies.
This morning, I picked up the audio book for You’re Never Weird On the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day. I adore this chick in every way possible and spotted a post on Fizzy Bizzy about her book tour that’s happening right now. I got all stupid excited only to find that she isn’t coming anywhere near here. *insert sad face here* BUT, seeing the post reminded me that she wrote a damn book! People, let me tell you, Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy and WRITING DEITY (#InJossWeTrust), wrote and read the forward. I was reduced to a gooey pile of feels, and seeing Felicia Day through his eyes only made me love her a little bit more. 🙂 I’m about two hours into it so far and it’s fantastic. Very witty and funny and just the right amount of awkward thrown in to make you really understand that she’s as human as her readers. I’ll do a full review-type post here once I finish listening to it. 🙂
I also finished my great, big rewatch of Supernatural. The ladies who are on their maiden watch in the #SPNFamily Supprt Group haven’t finished yet, but they’re cruising right along. I wish, for just one day, that I could sit in on writers’ meetings for that show. The thing I love about the show is the ongoing series arc. There are soooooooo many call backs to shit that happened in the early days of the show. I didn’t really grasp how much they tie together until I binge-watched ten seasons in twelve days. lol Also, a LOT has happened over the course of the show’s eleven years. I cant wait to see where season twelve takes the Winchesters. 🙂
I’m going to do some notebook writing for the rest of the evening until go time for the Game of Thrones season premiere. I dont think I’m emotionally prepared for tonight’s episode. I think I might have to make myself some hot cocoa or something. lol I’m rewatching the last three episodes of season five before start time. Sigh…… I’m pretty sure I know the fate of my beloved Jon Snow, but the suits in the HBO writers’ room dont tend to be that nice to fans. lol Plus, they’ve got to be privy to whatever plan GRRM has for the series, but he’s already stated that they’re not obligated to follow it, especially where the series is now caught up with the books. Anyway, it’s going to be good, not matter what. Join me on my Facebook page for tonight’s episode of GoT. It’s going to be a lot of spoiler-free commentary. lol
