It’s been a while since I did any sort of real check in, so I figured, what better time than now!
I have been busy on so many fronts it is ridiculous!
First, The Devil You Know is still holding strong on the charts. It’s dropped a little bit, but not too much. As of right now, it is STILL on the best seller list for its genre, so THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!! The book is doing so much better than I had ever imagined!!!
Second, Speak of the Devil is officially a work in progress!!! I started writing little bits here and there a few weeks ago, and now I am writing more and more. I am going to put in some serious laptop time this weekend and again next weekend. I am hoping (you can’t see it but I am knocking on wood right now) to have a first draft complete by the end of October. The plan is to have the first round of editing done in November, at which point I will decide on a firm release date.
Third, I organized an urban fantasy/paranormal short story anthology! The anthology will be titled The Stroke of Midnight: A Supernatural New Year’s Anthology. We have a total of 19 authors including myself. Those 19 authors will turn out a total of 18 UF/P short stories (one of the stories is co-written between 2 authors) that all take place on New Year’s Eve. I have included a graphic here so you can see the list of authors. My short story will actually be the as-yet-untitled Demon Legacy #1.5. The story will take place between The Devil You Know (DL#1) and Speak of the Devil (DL #2).
Fourth (this list is getting a little wordy, yeah?), I will be sure to post the link once it’s live but… I am participating in the All Hallows Eve Indies Tour – a tour for urban fantasy and paranormal romance authors to celebrate the best holiday ever – HALLOWEEN. On one of the two stops I am the feature for, the blogger (Little Read Riding Hood) and I are co-writing a short story. It has nothing to do with the Demon Legacy series, but it’s going to be super fun!
