Okay, we’re aiming for ridiculous, right? I’ve got you covered.
When I was a little kid, I believed that The Prescription Center on Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire was the state of Pennsylvania. I haven’t got a clue what convinced me of that. It just looked like Pennsylvania to me. Oh! And I thought it was a prison. Like, I thought the state of Pennsylvania was a prison and it was located on Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire.
Of course, this was before I had any clue was a state was.
Or Pennsylvania.
Or what the hell a prescription was.
I was young enough when this belief was established that I couldn’t read so the signage was irrelevant. I also couldn’t tell you when this was corrected in my head, but I think about it every single time I drive by the building. Kid brains are weird.
Did you have any funky beliefs as a kid?
Happy reading!
