“Forgive me, Father, for all I seem to do is sin.”
Meraki Mallory lived two lives. The one that everyone thought she did, and the one she worked hard to hide. She burned with her demons instead of running from them, but when Niko Davis rode back into town with a bag full of secrets, she knew she would need to start hiding them instead. Niko knew her inside and out, and if he saw even a smidge of her soul, he would see that she was no longer the girl he left behind…
When the president of the New York chapter of the Seven Knights MC dies, he passes the gavel down to Niko… but unknown to anyone else, that’s not the only thing he left him.
Niko fights for what’s his, and he’s only ever claimed one person in his life—Meraki. So when he rips away the walls she built around herself with his bare teeth, the secrets that she has so fiercely hidden away all of these years suddenly bleed onto the four unmarked graves laid out in front of his steel-cap boots…
It started with a bond that destroyed everyone around them…
…it ends with blood.
@DarkRomanceMommy is right…
I’m calling this book an educational text. Antichrist will teach you things about yourself. Particularly pointing out kinks you didn’t know you had going in. The scene with the gun…. I know I shouldn’t find it hot and that it may signify some deep seated need for therapy but omg it’s so…fucking…hot… IYKYK…
This is the first book I’ve read by Amo Jones and this bitch is a fan for life. Tension, suspense, twists and turns that’ll give you whiplash for days, and smokin’ hot angsty romance. She goes by @darkromancemommy on Instagram and the moniker is well-earned. As a reader, I will keep coming back for more. I’ve already got my one-clicker ready for the release day of Boneyard Tides and I cannot fucking wait! As a writer…
She’s just…. Amo Jones, you, Madame, are a bad bitch.
Niko and Meraki. I literally don’t know where to begin. Calling their romance dark is an understatement akin to saying it’s a little oxygen-y outside. They are chaos and toxicity and for some reason I cannot begin to explain, I am HERE for it. It’s like Sons of Anarchy if those men weren’t such goody-goody Boy Scouts. By comparison, Niko makes Jax Teller look like that guy Steve from Blues Clues. I’m not shitting on SOA. I loved SOA. Antichrist is just that twisted. Amo Jones could teach Kurt Sutter a thing or two. Strong females in the room! Meraki will be your spirit animal from page one. She’s a fierce badass with sass for days.
CLIFFHANGER WARNING: While it is a super-entertaining read, I knocked it down to four stars because there are a lot of unanswered questions and plot culs-de-sac that never get closure. If you read the book as a mindfuck that doesn’t need full resolution, you will be fine, but the unanswered questions really bothered a lot of readers about this book. It’s a long book and the last chapter will make your brain do that needle-scratching-on-a-record noise. Will we ever get any of those questions answered? I haven’t got a freaky deaky clue.

CONTENT WARNING: Even as dark romance goes, Antichrist is on the darker side of the genre. This is a good opportunity to remind everyone to check out the Trigger Warning page here on my website. This message applies to my books and pretty much everything you’re going to see on my blog, whether it’s dark romance or urban fantasy romance (which tends to be violent). This isn’t a message I will include with every review but I had to with this one because fuckin’ Niko. He gets up to some naughty shit.
The review copy of this book was read through the Kindle Unlimited reading program.
