Ok, so if you haven’t read this series yet, GET ON IT! If you have read this series, then you are probably quite aware of the fact that Tiffany Reisz has said The Mistress would be the last book in the series. I am not okay with this. Of course, there is more to the world, it’s simply the end of the original four-book saga.

The Mistress picks up immediately following the events of The Prince (The Original Sinners #3). Three books into the series, we now have a pretty ……ahem…….thorough background on all the major players…..right down to what they like to do behind closed doors. Now that we are able to see how all of their different paths have crossed and brought them to where they are today.

There’s been a TON of plot up to this book and The Mistress is no exception. There was so much happening and so much going on that this book felt a lot longer to me than the other three did. However, Tiffany Reisz is such an amazing author that you never once hit a part that feels confusing.

Now, even with all of that plot line crammed into this little series swan song, I hit the end of The Mistress and almost chucked my smartphone at my computer screen. I was PISSED! I will get to why in just a second.

The Mistress has several heavy hitting stunner moments. None of which had anything to do with sex and all of which resulted in me yelling things like: “What the fuck?!?!?!” “You’ve have GOT to be kidding me!!!” and “Holy SHIT!!! Did she really just do that?!?!?!”

The stunner moment to end all stunner moments is the very tail-end of the book. I was shocked into utter silence. Then the realization hit me: The Mistress is the end. I’M NEVER GOING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!!! (Edit: There is a novella I have not read called A Winter Symphony. Added to TBR pile.)

That moment aside, I would HIGHLY recommend this series. The whole thing. It’s amazing. Take out every single naughty scene and sexual innuendo and this would still be, by far, one of the best romance series I have ever read in my life. This little band of hooligans has such an incredible and genuinely mesmerizing story that if you pass it up, you’re truly missing out.
