CHAPTER ONE
“Five minutes till the doors open, ladies!”
Mackenzie tugged the bustier of her uniform into place, headed out of the employee lounge and onto the floor of the club, Everlasting. Having worked here for a few years, she had seniority and had gotten to work the VIP tables as a drink.
Drinks are humans who provide beverage service to the vampires that frequent the bar. Ever since vampires began to come out to the public a few years back, vampire bars have sprung up everywhere. However, everyone in Minnesota knew that Everlasting was the place to be and the crowds out front reinforced that belief. Ian and Jasper, the owners of the club, ran a tight ship and it showed in the amazing tips that she received to help with school and her quest.
“Mackenzie!”
She turned at the sound of her name and grinned at the young woman coming toward her. “Nat, how’s it going?”
Natalie was a fellow waitress at the bar, and Mackenzie was happy to see that she was working the evening with her.
“Good! I’ve been so busy trying to get registered for classes and learning the ropes at the hospital, that I feel like I am going crazy!”
“I was so glad you took Ellie up on that interview, Nat. I think it’s a good opportunity for you.”
Ellie worked at the club, but her main job was in Human Resources at a local hospital. She was a made vampire and was also dating one of the owners of the club, Jasper. It took her a bit to understand the intricacies of vampire relationships. They don’t have a problem with sharing their mates with others that they respect. Sex doesn’t have the same rules when you lived for centuries. She asked Ellie about it one time because she couldn’t understand why it didn’t bother Jasper that she slept with Ian. Ellie had said that in her human life, she was aware of the rules that society and those around us placed on relationships. It kept her in very straight and narrow relationships. She said that when you become a vampire, you left the part of yourself that cared about society’s rules behind. She said her life now was the most freeing she had ever felt.
“Yeah, I am on my way to change, and then Jasper said he needed to see me. I will head up to the offices and join you on the floor afterward.”
“Catch ya later, girl!”
Mackenzie strolled toward the newest bartender, Bryan, who stood in the middle of the bar. She flashed a smile at him as he pushed a tumbler of her favorite whiskey toward her.
“Thanks, Bryan.” She tossed the drink back and steadied herself for the night’s performance.

Natalie knocked on the door of Jasper’s office and pushed it open at his “Come in, Natalie.”
“Hey, Jasper. You wanted to see me?”
Jasper leaned back in his chair and watched as Natalie crossed the room.
“Have a seat, please. We have some VIPs coming to the club tonight and I wanted to know if you would serve as their personal drink.”
“Isn’t that what Mackenzie would normally do?”
“Yes, but Mackenzie has been requested by another group and I thought you could use the tips from a VIP table.”
She leaned toward Jasper and drew in a sharp breath. “I appreciate that, Jasper. Do I know the VIP’s that are coming in? Any special requests?”
“No special requests, so there shouldn’t be any issues or problems. If you run into anything you can’t handle, Ian and I will both be on the floor. As a matter of fact, Ellie will be working the VIP section a bit as well.”
Natalie laughed at the picture of Ian and Jasper watching Ellie make the drink rounds. “How did she manage to convince you that was a clever idea?”
Jasper grinned at Natalie, “You know I can never deny her anything. She wanted to work the circuit and I told her it was fine if she worked the VIPs. Ian wasn’t keen on the idea, but you know how he is.”
“Yeah, he likes to make sure that we are protected. It’s a great concept in a boss.”
“There will be three VIPs and one of them will be Magnus.”
“Wow! He is the fifth owner of the club, right? I thought he hadn’t been in the states for years.”
Magnus was a very old vampire who lived in Europe and very rarely made the trek to America. He was one of five vampires who owned the club and most of the staff had never met him.
“He hasn’t and that’s why we want to make sure he has a great time. We are hoping that he decides to move this way. It would be great to have him back with us.”
“Got it. Make boss man happy so he will come to hang out here with us,” Natalie said, with a saucy grin.
“Okay, minx. Make sure you check in with security at the entrance to the VIP lounge and let someone know if you need anything.”
Jasper reached into the cabinet behind him and pulled a bottle of scotch down along with a couple of tumblers. He nodded to the decanter and at Natalie’s grin, he poured two fingers in each glass, and pushed one toward her.
“Drink up, love. You’re going to need it.”
Natalie tossed the expensive scotch back and shivered at the burn that raced through her body. Being a Drink was not for the weak or unhealthy. Scientists had discovered a way to increase blood cell replenishment and it was an additive that was included in the alcohol served at the bar. Health was taken very seriously at clubs.
She set the glass down as she rose and walked around the desk toward Jasper. She swung her leg over until she was straddling him and settled down into a comfortable position.
Jasper brushed her hair off her shoulders, “Make sure you pull this up before you hit the floor, Natalie.” He leaned forward and placed a light kiss on her lips. She opened her mouth and deepened the kiss.
Natalie has always been intrigued by her bosses and relishes moments like this when she gets one of them to herself.
She slowly stroked her hands up his chest and wrapped them around his neck, lacing her fingers through the blonde hair at the nape of his neck. Natalie sighed as Jasper kissed down the side of her neck and sucked the tendon at the curve of her shoulder.
“I love the way you taste.”
Warmth pooled between her thighs as he licked and nipped at the sensitive parts of her neck. Trembling with the excitement that came from being in his arms, Natalie knew where this rendezvous was heading. Slowly, she slipped her hand between them and unzipped Jasper’s jeans.
“Are you sure you want to do this, Natalie?”
In response to his question, she tugged his rigid cock from his pants and stroked it as he groaned against her throat. Feeling a rip and a tug, Natalie grinned as she lost her first pair of panties for the night.
“When will you learn to just leave them off?”
“When you will guys learn that I wear them for that effect?”
She guided the head of his cock to the sobbing wet entrance of her heated flesh and sighed as he thrust deep inside of her. With the knowledge that Jasper would take control of the pace in a moment, Natalie clenched her walls around him and smiled when Jasper growled at her.
